Most dedicated search engine optimisation consultants spend most of their time producing abstracts designed to promote their clients’ websites. When a website is well-established and has managed to attain a high search engine positioning this can be a reasonably easy exercise. It is the work needed in the early stages of search optimization for a website that is so difficult. It should not be difficult to create an interesting feature that reflects on the content of a business’s website or on news related to it. The difficulties arise from the need to create a high volume of such abstracts without a fall in quality.

There is a prejudice held by many search advertising observers that any search optimization feature production is only generating spam. The abstracts are often dispersed to article banks and blogs whose primary purpose is to receive abstracts written to impact the organic search engine positioning of the organization’s
website with which they are related. However, these article banks and blogs do apply quality standards as high as those of the search engines themselves. The abstracts are designed to highlight a number of keywords that were selected during the primary keyword examination but without resorting to poor habits. All the considerations that need to be applied to the website also apply to the promotional abstracts. There are limited sources of news about most subjects to supply inspiration to the writer, particularly in more obscure subjects, but he must not lapse into writing about things that are totally unrelated to the website he is trying to market.

There is a lot of content out on the web that is of poor quality, but this can originate from any number of producers. Some industries are more prone to bad content than others, but it is probably not intentional. It could just be badly written content created by the website owners - it may not deliberately be spam. The search engines are continually changing to do what they can to filter out poor content but some will always be found. Some optimisation consultants will use unethical methods but a good search optimization consultant will be concentrating on creating useful content. search engine optimisation is not directly to blame for all of the bad content.

There are other techniques in search engine optimisation that can be tried to improve the organic search engine positioning of a website that some optimisation consultants may prefer to use, but these too have their opponents. Some consultants encourage increased use of social channels over any other method, while others appreciate that any effort on social network will be wasted for some websites. Some optimisation consultants will prefer to concentrate on backlink building through any means, even if this means resorting to some less reputable techniques. Some optimisation consultants choose to overlook the basic physical adjustments that can be made to any website, while others place too much emphasis on their effectiveness.

A good optimisation consultant should be able to use a balanced variety of techniques in harness to have the greatest influence on a website’s rankings. This will include the need to create important promotional abstracts.
