In the time of social networking, microblogging and other platforms for self-expression, here comes RapidHI, a site, which suddenly appears to be both a live entertainment/education portal and a safe way to earn some money. Some may say that finally there is a site with real ethical value compared to the usual palette where mundane, useless toys have been flocking recently.

RapidHI is a website where a user can chat with live hosts with a webcam about diverse subjects in which the hosts are experienced. When we checked the site, the categories to choose from were Hobby Chefs, Personal Trainers, Soul Mates, Travel Advisers and Esoterics. There is a Free Chat of the hosts where many guests can partake, and the hosts can be taken to a 1-on-1 chat (with an additional and free cam-to-cam feature) which costs a small amount of credits via a second based billing.

First we just took a glimpse at RapidHI with no further concept, but the versatile and – more importantly – live content grabbed our attention, and we have started to check every aspect of the site excessively. It is a website that is easy to use, apparently based on user ideas. The biggest number of hosts was in Esoterics when we revisited the site; they are working from a well organized studio apparently, employed as a fulltime job. After few hours of free chit-chat (and some stunning service on the 1-on-1 chat) we learnt that the fortune tellers, oracles, psychic readers and their fellow workmates are taking shifts self-organized, since – as they said – this new way of reaching out to the truth-thirsty public is something good for their karma. Bigger presence, more people to help, more minds to feed.

We found the site stuffed (but not over-crowded) with nice features, and we are sure there is more to come. The live chat support willingly responded to all our questions, we have even tried the registration system. Who knows, one day we might be able to get advices even from The Times’ editors, live!
